How do I get a loan as an unemployed without collateral?
Im personally not seeing a likely scenario where you will be able to do that. Its already uncommon enough to find a lender who will advance a loan to a consumer without some kind of collateral, but having no apparent income source? They really want to see a capacity to repay and a good history of having repaid other debts and obligations. Having no income is a huge strike against your apparent ability to repay, and even if you have a lot of assets, your ability to liquidate those to repay the debt is in question and the lender not having a security interest in those will mean that they have no assurance that you wont dispose of those assets in the meantime. A noncollateralized loan is quite a risk for them. I wouldnt count on getting one under these circumstances. As I said, even with an income source, these arent exactly easy to obtain, though not impossible if you find the right lender and you have an outstanding credit history. Lightstream lent me the funds for a car purchase without asking for the car itself or anything else to be pledged against the loan, which did surprise me, but I assume my spotless credit history is likely the reason for this.
